The "Art of the Maya" wins Telly Award
Douglas Daudt a documentary producer in Tampa, Florida was a winner in the19 th . Annual Telly Awards. Doug won a Silver Telly for the documentary he produced and directed on the "Art of the Maya". The Telly Awards was founded to showcase and give recognition to outstanding non-network film and television production. The number of Telly entries this year was a record breaking 10,000+, and less than 1% on these entrants took home a Silver Telly. The Telly has become one of the most sought-after awards in the TV, Film, and Video industries. The Telly statuette has appeared on the set of many prime-time TV shows and Films, such as thirtysomething, Murder She Wrote, and Mel Gibson's What Woman Want . Doug was also recognized by the International Documentary Association, (IDA) in their Survival Guide Millennium Edition for his contributions in documentary filmmaking.
